Bharti: Son of an illustrious, well known poet cum journalist of north Late Sh.Vijay Nirbadh, Rakesh was born on November the eighth, 1951. A Medical college Amritsar product(MBBS in 1974 and MD in dermatology,venereology and leprology in 1989). Dr.Bharti served the govt for 25 years and then took premature retirement as Deputy Medical Commissioner, Punjab Health Systems Corporation ,Amritsar. He has many original resarches to his credit eg Pefloxacin in Leprosy Mesalazine in Psoriasis Topiramate in Scars Founder president of first NGO of north India AIDS Awareness Group, Amritsar (AAG). First PLHA network of Punjab is his brain child. +450 HIV families are under his care at his Bharti Derma Care and Research Center-the largest number with any single specialist in Private set up . Widely traveled man has 30 odd publications to his credit including a chapter in Textbook of dermatology on Pemphigus erythematosis published be e-medicine. He on the advisory board of AIDS Asia Care Watch (ACW). His lectures on HIV Counseling and TB and HIV are available at Pittsberg university online source WWW.pitt.edu/super/lectuer.
